Who We Are
The NMA is an organization of past and present members of official US Navy bands.
We're the MUs of yesterday and today. We unite to preserve the heritage of Navy music. And we have fun doing it.
There is no time in service requirement for membership; if you have worn the lyre, the rating badge of the U.S. Navy Musician, you are eligible to join.
The Navy Musicians Association is a 501 (c) (19) tax exempt
veteran's organization under the U.S. Tax Code.
Our Mission
The Purpose of the Navy Musicians Association is
- to bring together, through reunions, past and present members of navy bands;
- to promote camaraderie;
- to emphasize the importance of music in the Navy; and
- to maintain liaison with active bands in the Navy and Marine Corps, in order to preserve the tradition of Navy music.
